Psp tutorial: Fashion!


This tutorial is entirely my own idea. The tubes are created by me, so please leave the layers intact. The tubes can always be used for personal stuff, you only have to ask permission first if you would like to use them in a tutorial.

I've made this tutorial in PSP X6, but can be made in other PSP versions as well. Don't forget to save your work from time to time. I assume you know how to work with the Mirror and Flip script in PSP X6.

Fashion Ladies tube - here.
Givenchy Shoes tube - here.
Pink Ball tube - here.
Pink Bow tube - here.
Pink Bag With Feathers tube - here.
Pink Rose tube - here.
20-20 mask - here.
epwmasker-sla 070 mask - in zip.
Background - in zip.
Frame - in zip.

Download all other materials here.
Place the tubes, masks, etcetera in the right folders.

Plugins:
Carolaine and Sensibility - CS-LDots.
Graphics Plus - Cross Shadow.
Simple - Top Left Mirror.
  • Foreground colour: #fb28b7
  • Background colour: #21222d
Alright, let's get started!

  • Open the tube "Background". Copy and paste the "Background layer" as new image.
  • Add a new raster layer.
  • Make a rectangular gradient with your foreground colour, using the following settings:  

  • Flood fill the layer with the gradient.
  • Adjust ---> Blur ---> Gaussian Blur: 18,00.
  • Layers ---> Load/Save Mask ---> Load Mask from Disc ---> and search for the mask "epwmasker-sla 070", using the following settings:

  •  Layers ---> Merge ---> Merge Group.
  • Move the mask layer a bit to the right. Rename the layer into "epw 070".
  • Add a Drop Shadow with the following settings: 

  • Copy and paste the tube "PinkRose-Nolver_27082010" as new layer on your image.
  • Layers ---> Load/Save Mask ---> Load Mask from Disc ---> and search for the mask "20-20", using the following settings:

  • Layers ---> Merge ---> Merge Group. Resize the layer with 63%, bicubic, "Resize All Layers", not checked.
  • Move the layer to the left. See the example below:


  • Duplicate the layer. Move the layer to the bottom. See the example below:

  • Duplicate the layer. Move the layer to the bottom left corner. See the example below:

  • Copy and paste the tube "Fashion_Ladies-Nolver_26082010" as new layer on your image.
  • Move it to the middle of the mask layer "epw 070". Blend mode: Soft Light. Opacity: 53%.
  • Copy and paste the tube "Fashion_Ladies-Nolver_26082010" as new layer on your image. Resize the layer with 79%, bicubic, "Resize All Layers", not checked.
  • Move the layer to the top on the right side.
  • Open the tube "PinkBag_With_Feathers-Nolver_26082010". Copy and paste it as new layer on your image. Resize the layer with 40%, bicubic, "Resize All Layers", not checked.
  • Add the following Drop Shadow (Effects ---> 3D Effects ---> Drop Shadow):
  • Move the layer next to the roses. Duplicate the layer. Place it on the left side on the mask. Your image should now look like this:
  • Copy and paste the tube "Givenchy_Shoes-Nolver_26082010" as new layer on your image.
  • Resize the layer with 40%, bicubic, "Resize All Layers", not checked. Move the layer next to the bottom bag.
  • Add the following Drop Shadow:

  • Duplicate the shoes layer and mirror it. Put this layer a bit on the upper bag, on the left side. Your image should now look like this:
  • Add a border of 2px, symmetric, background colour (#21222d).
  • Add a border 50px, symmetric, white.
  • Add a border of 2px, symmetric, background colour (#21222d).
  • Activate your Magic Wand tool (Mode = Add, Match mode = RGB Value, Tolerance = 0, Feather = 0, Anti-Alias: checked, Inside).
  • Select with your Magic Wand the white border.
  • Make a gradient with your foreground colour, using the following settings:


  • Fill the border with the gradient.
  • Effects ---> Plugins ---> Carolaine and Sensibility ---> CS-LDots and use the following settings:

  • Remove the selection (Ctrl + D)
  • Add a border 10px, symmetric, white.
  • Add a border of 2px, symmetric, background colour (#21222d).
  • Select with your Magic Wand tool the white border of 10px.
  • Fill the border with the gradient.
  • Effects ---> Plugins ---> Graphics Plus ---> Cross Shadow ----> Default ---> Ok.
  • Remove the selection (Ctrl + D).
  • Open the "Frame" tube. Copy and paste the "Frame" layer as new layer on your image. 
  • Copy and paste the tube "Pink_Bow-Nolver_26082010" as new layer on your image.
  • Copy and paste the tube "Pink_Ball-Nolver_26082010" as new layer on your image.
  • Resize the pink ball 2x with 50%.
  • Layers ---> Merge ---> Merge Down.
  • Resize the combined layer (bow with ball) with 30%.
  • Image ---> Free Rotate:


  • Move the layer to the top left corner. See the example below.
  • Add the following Drop Shadow: 
  • Effects ---> Plugins ---> Simple ---> Top Left Mirror ---> Ok.
  • Add on a new raster layer your name/watermark.
  • Layers ---> Merge ---> Merge All.
  • Resize the image 650 wide.
  • Adjust ---> Sharpness ---> Sharpen.
  • Save the image as JPEG.
  • Done!
